Morning Music Moment
Weekday morning prayers to practice beginning each day with gratitude. Brief (2-3 minutes) and normally inspired by a song verse.
Some say that God rather more sung (than spoke) the universe into existence.. We (still) hear echoes of that tune, which we have never heard (ref C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory).
I once heard that no good thing is lost in heaven, which maybe offers some hope that we will receive back the music and songs that were loved, and hear them again in heaven. Though like us, corrected and perfected.

Good morning family, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. We lose our way. We get back up again. It's never too late to get back up again. One day you're gonna shine again. You may be knocked down, but not out forever.
Speaker 1:Jesus, thank you for today and help me to never tire of thanking you and never tire of coming back to you. Please help me to reset my heart and mind around you. Today, and especially on days like today, when I feel weak or burdened or not successful, I'm reminded of the times when I do feel better and I thank you for those, and I thank you at least for the knowledge that days like today will not last. Please remind me that what I feel and what I see are not simply all that there is, and there is so much more that I cannot see and I feel guilty for not feeling that joy, joy, joy down in my heart and I feel frustrated that I cannot simply will myself out of a funk or drink coffee or find some way to pick my own self up. But, jesus, help me to trust in you more surely.
Speaker 1:And when I'm weak, please be strong. Help me to know that you are always strong. Help me to give my weakness to you and ask you to do something with it. And, jesus, I do pray again for my loved ones and save me from my thoughts closing in on myself and thinking about myself and everything, all about myself. Jesus, thank you for the loved ones you have placed in my life. Please bless each of them in the particular ways that they need today. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen, I love you so much.
