Morning Music Moment
Weekday morning prayers to practice beginning each day with gratitude. Brief (2-3 minutes) and normally inspired by a song verse.
Some say that God rather more sung (than spoke) the universe into existence.. We (still) hear echoes of that tune, which we have never heard (ref C.S. Lewis, The Weight of Glory).
I once heard that no good thing is lost in heaven, which maybe offers some hope that we will receive back the music and songs that were loved, and hear them again in heaven. Though like us, corrected and perfected.

Good morning family, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen.

Speaker 1:All the problems, all the fears and the world seems to disappear. Good morning, jesus, and thank you for willing another morning for us. Thank you for everything that you will for us, everything that is good and true and beautiful. Thank you for this time in prayer when I turn to you and think about you and talk with you, and for even a moment when problems and fears disappear, for a moment in your presence, when I present myself to you and stop turning away and running away.
Speaker 1:Jesus, messiah, please quiet the noise in our lives. Help us choose and take actions to quiet the noise and just attend to you and reconnect with you. And for everything that we see unraveling and for what I have caused or contributed to. Let it humble us and steer us back to you with true repentance and contrite hearts. Jesus, lord and Master, help me to give you more than lip service today and to cling to you with more than a last and desperate hope, but with even a mustard seed of confidence in your plans unfolding, far in excess of whatever we can think up. Jesus, I trust in you, in the light of your love poured out on the cross. Let my grievances, my burdens, my weakness, my failures fall away, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. I love you so much.
