Speaker 1:

Good morning, family, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen. I walk this empty street on the boulevard of broken dreams when the city sleeps, and I'm the only one and I walk. My shadow's the only one that walks beside me, my shallow heart's the only thing that's beating. Sometimes I wish someone out there will find me. Till then I walk alone. Jesus helped me to begin this day with thanks and praise, and not just a general disposition of thanks and putting good vibes out into the universe, hoping to expect them back in return, but to say thank you, my friend and brother and savior and king and father. Thank you for all that you have given me. And I pray this morning for people who do not know you, for people who are angry with you, for people who think there is nothing or not much to thank you for, and people who very much do not want to thank you. Jesus, you don't need my encouragement or petitions, but I do pray that you would move in power for the hurt, the brokenhearted, the lonely, the suffering, the estranged, the angry and the addicted. I pray for the people who I generally try to avoid, for people who I am afraid of, for people who are very down and I don't want them to bring me down. For people I don't understand or relate to and I don't want to understand, for all of the hurts they suffer, for all of the hurts they cause. For people who feel so alone, who are convinced that life sucks and no one cares and no one understands. For people who don't fit in, for people who don't have or don't know what a healthy relationship is. For people who seem beyond reach. For people who listen to music that inflames and cements their angst or other negativities.

Speaker 1:

Jesus, you came for the sick, and all of us are sick, and some in a bad, bad way. I pray that you would reach them today and I don't think I can reach them, and the sad truth is I don't want to reach them and I'm afraid of you putting them in my path. But I know that you can reach them and I can at least start by praying for them, the least of these, and to pray and beg you to do what I cannot misunderstood, hurt, abandoned, abused, mocked, lied to, betrayed, exploited, spit on, beaten up and killed. I know that you can pierce through every obstacle, overcome every barrier, every lie and reach them and show yourself to them, and yet still honor their free will and show your love for them and hear them. Hear their cries and help them. Jesus, son of the living God, hide us in your wounds and protect us and save us from the enemy. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, amen, I love you so much.
